Luxury, Ocean Views, and Warm Balinese Hospitality

I had never stayed in an all-inclusive resort before I met Nicole. She sort of introduced me to staying in more “luxurious” accommodations. Before I started my career as a PA, I was very frugal (Still am! Hey!) and a penny pincher. Likely because I was a broke student, but I was still able to harness some of my “creative financing” powers and backpack around. I’d stay in hostels or with friends and have such memorable experiences! But, I suppose splurging on a suite at a resort every now and then ain’t so bad – and in Bali, your dollar can go far here, so an all inclusive resort in Bali can be affordable compared to prices in the U.S.!
If you’re dreaming of a serene escape with stunning views, world-class service, and that perfect mix of modern design and island soul, look no further than the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa. Nestled in the hills of Bali’s southern peninsula, this luxury hotel gave us the peaceful getaway we were looking for after 1 month of backpacking through Southeast Asia.
Here’s everything we loved about our stay:
First Impressions: A Warm Balinese Welcome
From the moment we stepped into the open-air lobby, I was already blown away! Immediately we were met with sweeping ocean views, contemporary design, and warm wood textures which set the tone for a relaxing stay. A chilled welcome drink and cold towel made us feel instantly refreshed after our travels.
Our Room: Comfort Meets Elegance
We were given a complimentary upgrade to the Garden View Suite, and the design was everything we love—clean, minimalist, and elegant and just a short walk to one of the infinity pools.
A plush king bed, a large walk-in shower, and huge windows permitting the golden morning light.
Dining: A Culinary Highlight of Our Trip
Clay Craft

Every morning started with an epic breakfast at Clay Craft, featuring everything from smoothie bowls to Indonesian classics. Bonus: the pastries are dangerously good.
Double Ikat

We had one of our most memorable dinners at Double Ikat, the resort’s signature Indonesian restaurant. The satay platter and beef rendang were packed with flavor, and the service was flawless. Shout out to the amazing staff! 5 stars!
R Bar

Perfect for sundowners, R Bar has a laid-back vibe with creative cocktails and live music some evenings. Grab a seat by the glass railing for front-row sunset views.
Poolside Bliss & Spa Time

The main infinity pool was one of the most relaxing places to lounge. With views that stretch all the way to the ocean and comfy cabanas scattered around, it’s hard to leave.
We also treated ourselves to a couples massage at the R Spa, which was hands-down one of the most rejuvenating experiences we’ve had in Bali. Everything—from the aromatherapy oils to the post-treatment herbal tea—was just perfect.
Exploring Uluwatu from the Resort
While the resort isn’t beachfront, it offers a free shuttle to Roosterfish Beach Club, where you can swim, sunbathe, and sip cocktails with your toes in the sand.
Plus, Uluwatu Temple and Dreamland Beach are just a short ride away.
